 Baclaran Elementary School Central stood alone in Gabaldon style way back in 1911 even before  the Japanese soldiers occupied and used it as their barracks and sentry and that after the war an earthly grave – shaped the soil  as a very memorial souvenir in 1941.. The school is situated near Baclaran market at the  Southern  part and a river  at the Eastern side.

  When an NGO donated this 13,526 square meter area, the school was then registered and after several years, a one – storey building was constructed at the right side of the main Gabaldon building In front  of the fishpond of the Cortez family and after a year of being constructed, a toilet was added between the two buildings.

SCHOOL HISTORY

                  A verdant lawn was then cultivated with plants like bougainvillas, pine trees, acacia, firefly trees, ipil – ipil and many others that are sources of refreshing air that surrounds the friendly and  invigorating  atmosphere while a center wide space served as playground where softball is most oftenly played .It was during early and latter part of classes where  paranormal  activities happened and witnessed by some.

                 More buildings were then constructed in the 1950’s such as the H>E building, Canteen, and Agriculture or the popularly called AMITA and in 1966 a 36 Classroom Eulogio Rodriguez buildings A and B were constructed as living legacy of the Rodriguez clan. In the same year a One – storey building was donated by the Lions Club which served as the School clinic and partner of Baclaran Health Center in extending services to people after the occurrence of a big fire  Pre – fab Marcos type I and II was built in 1978 – 1979 then a four classroom Kinder building was donated by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and a Library building with three classrooms was put up thru the efforts of the Municipal government. In 1989, Bagong  Lipunan I with 6 classrooms was constructed and an additional 6 classrooms was built in 1992.

                 A Gymnasium which is considered as one of the biggest among all schools in the city was permanently constructed at the center site of the school premises thru the efforts of Dr. Pablo Olivarez the town mayor in 1993 and became the most frequently used venue for big events such as seminars / workshop symposiums, conferences, school programs sports fest, community meetings and other religious events for Christians and Muslim brothers.

                 Due to emerging need of classrooms to cater EPP subject, an Industrial building was constructed at the Southern back part of the school where some garden plots are being cultivated with different vegetable plants. In 1997, a two – storey building with 9 cubicle toilet for teachers and leaners was constructed thru the efforts of a hard –  working  and a nature beauty enthusiast Mrs. Norma Sta. Agueda which was popularly  called as the School of the Future  that will then house computers for 21stt century lifelong learners.

                 In 2000,, Rodriguez buildings A and B were attached as one, the first as situated from the entrance gate wherein the first floor hosts the offices of the District Supervisor and School Principal at the left side are the Canteen and the NFE, the Kindergarten building was there along with the old AMITA building. All old buildings that were constructed and donated for the school were all demolished for safety reasons and wha remained were the Multipurpose building, Industrial Arts and the 15 room building that were constructed on a different timeline; the first Six rooms where the District office is housed was done in 2012, the next Six rooms housing the School principal’s office was in 2013 and the last three rooms where the SPED center is, was done in 2014.    

                  The Learning Resource Center was demolished in December 2014 to pave way for the construction of additional three classrooms. In October 9, 2015, the inauguration of the Three – storey, 9 classrooms; three – storey 6 classrooms and three – storey  3 classrooms was successfully  carried out with Rev. Fr. Jerry Habunal as the officiating priest.  The completion of Three – storey – 3 classrooms paved the way for single sift classes and after its inaugural rite on July 22, 2016, it was occupied by Grade four learners.  Classes starts at 7:00 am and ends at 11:45am for grades 1 and 2, 2:30 for grades 3 and 4, 2:00 pm for grade 5 and 3:30pm for grade 6. An entrepreneur store located at the back of ALS building is actively been utilized by young entrepreneurs

                  For the record, the 6 classroom EPP building  that was constructed in 2009 was handed in to Paranaque National High School ( Baclaran) in 2014,  a Three – storey 9 classroom building was then taken by high school in 2016 wherein Grade six classes were then transferred to the  newly – constructed Four – story 16 classroom building where grades 1 to 3 had their classes within that year also, while the Three storey 3 classroom building that was constructed in 2015 was turned over to Baclaran Elementary School I just recently while a newly – constructed building this 2020 near Baclaran Elementary School II will soon be turned- over to BES Central.       

                  Now that we are in the New Normal, the school leader has been spearheading programs and projects that has something to do with Cleanliness and Beautification of the school, construction of additional handwashing facilities and the likes in preparation for the upcoming face to face teaching – learning process and repair / rehabilitation of gymnasium is ongoing for better service and safer environment for the total enrollment of______, _______boys and ______ girls being facilitated by 54 diligent and caring teachers  this school year 2020 – 2021..
